ALA Care Ltd’s response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), updated July 20
The safety and wellbeing of our residents and staff is always our highest priority at ALA Care Ltd Homes.
This particular virus does present more of a risk to older people and to those individuals with pre-existing medical conditions and so we are taking stringent precautionary measures to ensure that our residents and staff are as protected as possible.
Visitors
Currently the Homes are still closed to visitors
We feel this is still absolutely necessary to minimise risk of infection to our residents and staff. We will review this when we feel it is safe, currently we are exploring ways in which we can accommodate safe visits moving forward.
We understand how important visits are to the well being of our residents and their family. Your cooperation and understanding are essential in this process; thank you.
The homes are keeping Family and Friends connected via phone, e-mail and social media.
New Resident Admission
New Resident admissions are considered if we can be provided with a negative Covid 19 test result and an agreement is in place for the new Resident to be isolated for 14 days.
We feel this is necessary to minimise risk of infection to our current residents and staff.
We will continually review the situation and our response to it, to keep Resident’s and Staff as safe as possible and protect their wellbeing.
